I’m from the Bay Area but have moved to Reno, Nevada to continue my education at the University of Nevada, Reno. I am currently studying Marketing with interests in branding, community engagement, and marketing strategy. This page shares some of my background, interests, and goals.
I’m a proud member of Sigma Kappa. Being a part of this organization has made a huge impact in my college experience and overall personal growth. This upcoming December, I will be taking on a new leadership position as the External Philanthropy Chairwoman. In this position I will be coordinating community service events, strengthening partnerships with local organizations, and helping support Sigma Kappa’s national philanthropic initiatives. My membership in this chapter has allowed me to build lasting friendships, contribute to important causes, and develop important leadership skills.
I have worked at the Pinole Swim Center since 2021. I began as a cashier where I managed the front desk, handled payments, assisted guests, and kept the facility clean and organized. In 2022, I earned my American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification and took on responsibilities that included ensuring patrons safety, enforcing rules, maintaining pool area, and completing daily upkeep tasks. I also taught swim lessons to children ages 2-12 , leading multiple sessions each day focused on building water safety skills, confidence, and trust. Over many years I have consistently prepared equipment and made sure I created a safe and welcoming environment for all swimmers.
In 2023, I started also working at Forest Hills Aquatic Park, where I would frequently guard pool parties of 20-30 guests, greet and assist members, and ensure a safe environment. I communicate closely with my boss and co-workers to coordinate tasks and share updates. I kept an organized pool deck by keeping equipment in proper order and removing hazards.
I am interested in pursuing a career in marketing, specifically in areas like social media strategy, branding, and community engagement. Outside of academics, I enjoy activities that allow me to stay active, building and maintaining strong personal connections, and outdoor activities. I value reliability, respect, hard work, continuous learning, and I try my best to keep a strong and positive attitude. I hope to gain more hands-on experience through internships, strengthen my skills in digital marketing, and eventually find a career where I can use my knowledge and strategies to help organizations tell their stories, grow their audiences, and make a lasting impact.
In conclusion, I believe my personal passions, career interest, and values all lead me toward a future of continuous growth and impact. I’m committed to pursuing opportunities that come my way and allow me to build strong connections with others. I’m confident that with the motivation to keep improving, I will be able to reach my goals and shape a fulfilling path forward.
